Poet
Ross has been writing poetry, prose, songs, contemplations, and jokes since childhood. Now, he is preparing to release his first book — a collection of his writings on life, nature, love, longing and spiritual reflection.

Practitioner
Ross is a practitioner of Yoga & Tantra - as part of a lineage in these classical South Indian life sciences - under the guidance of his teacher and mentor Yogacharini Maitreyi. Apprenticing with her since 2015, Ross is the Community Director & Assistant Teacher Trainer for Maitreyi’s school, Arkaya Awareness Centre, and grass roots charity, Arkaya Foundation.

As host of Branches of Wisdom, The Banyen Books video & audio podcast, Ross has interviewed the world's leading spiritual teachers, thinkers, artists, scientists, activists and authors. Ross is available to host events, to facilitate interviews and as a keynote speaker.

Performer
Ross trained as an actor in Vancouver from 2010 - 2013 while auditioning and performing in theatre, film & television, web series, and stand up comedy. He auditioned for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was offered a partial scholarship for their New York campus. However, Ross was also seriously practicing Yoga and meditation which led him to step away from performing in order to devote his time to spiritual pursuits. He kept his performing spirit alive, periodically training, doing readings, and participating in improv comedy. In October 2022 he stepped back into the world of performing arts playing the co-lead role of Patrick in Kico Gonzalez-Riso's "Timepiece" at the the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons BC. In April 2023 he was on stage again in the co-leading role, Phil Grady, in David King's comedy "The Garage Sale," also at the Heritage Playhouse.

Ross McKeachie is a multifaceted writer and practitioner on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. He is the host of Branches of Wisdom (The Banyen Books Podcast), as well as the Community Director and Assistant Teacher Trainer at Arkaya Awareness Center - a traditional school of Yoga & Tantra offering international programs to students online. He offers Integrative Coaching, Healing & Full-Spectrum Yoga Thereapy sessions to clients worldwide and is a poet with a background in comedy and performing arts.

Along with his background as a writer and practitioner, Ross also has a varied history as a rugby player, business student & entrepreneur, traveler, and as an actor/comedian. Through these experiences, as well as his time working with those with special needs and in private practice offering integrative coaching and healing, Ross is grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to learn a great deal about the human condition and human spirit.
Growing up in the beauty of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, Ross now makes his home on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.
